Lauteasha holds a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. She enjoys working with couples, families, adolescents, and individuals from diverse populations. Her professional experiences include working in a behavioral mental health clinic providing therapy to individuals seeking treatment for various eating disorders, and comorbid disorders such as anxiety, depression, OCD, substance use disorders, self-harm, and suicidal ideation that may exist with eating disorders. In addition to this, her experience includes Family Based Treatment (FBT), for the treatment of children and adolescents with eating disorders.
Lauteasha’s humanistic and family systems approach to therapy guides how she engages with each client. She believes that each client is unique, valuable, and worthy of respect. Her goal is to help clients manifest growth and lasting change. Empowering them to cultivate the vision that they have for themselves and for their family. She understands that collaborating to co-create new meaning for each person's lived experiences is an essential part of growth. She also utilizes solution focused, narrative therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy perspectives. Lauteasha sees clients under the clinical direction and supervision of Jennifer D. Vann, LMFT.
