Shelley Deady LMFT, EMDR-C

Therapist

Shelley Deady is passionate about helping people heal from the deep wounds of trauma—so they can live with more peace, connection, and joy. She works with both individuals and couples, offering therapy that is collaborative, integrative, and rooted in attachment theory. Shelley believes that every person carries an inner wisdom and a natural drive toward healing. Her role is to walk alongside her clients as a trusted guide, creating a safe and compassionate space where growth can unfold at its own pace.

Shelley supports adults (18+) in navigating challenges such as PTSD, C-PTSD, relationship and betrayal trauma, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, sleep difficulties, emotional regulation, dissociation, low self-esteem, executive functioning struggles and suicidal thoughts.

She is an EMDRIA Certified Therapist (EMDR-C)Certified Complex Trauma Professional (CCTP-II), and Certified Personality Disorder Provider (C-PD). She has advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT)Relationship Discernment, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), and she weaves in tools from Polyvagal Theory, Somatic Experiencing (SE), and Mindfulness-based practices. Her academic background—a B.S. in Biology and an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mercer University—has given her a deep appreciation for the mind-body connection and how trauma is both held and released in the body.

Outside the therapy room, Shelley treasures time with her blended family of six children. She’s a former competitive athlete who still loves being active, and she finds joy and creativity in oil painting.
